YUMA, Ariz. – The Arizona Winter Baseball League played out it’s fifth day of the month-long season. The trio of games were highlighted by a battle of unbeaten teams that featured Pericos and Team Canada.
The game was decided in the bottom of the sixth inning, as Canada successfully brought six runners across home plate; thanks in part to pitching miscues by Pericos.
Indy League pitcher Marc Rutledge (2-0) gave up only a pair of runs in six innings of work. The win by Canada gives them the first place nod in all the league and the only remaining undefeated record at 5-0.
